I have to confess...for someone who loves filming and editing video as much as I do, I don't do it very often. I'm always turned off by how long it takes to film, then capture, then edit, then post. But, as my wife pointed out the other day, we have almost zero video footage from our entire first year of marriage. That's not cool.
So, I've been saying for a while now that I wanted to get a stand alone, flash based, video camera. One that I could carry in my pocket and whip out when a video opportunity presented itself.
Well, yesterday, my beautiful wife gave my a slightly early anniversary present. A pocket size, flash based video camera. :-) It records in awesome 720p HD and can accept SDHC memory cards up to 32GB! Now that's slick. The thing is so easy to use, too. And the video looks excellent, which surprised me. I didn't expect a tiny, lens to be able to capture video that looked that good.
So, with my new toy, I resolve to take and share more video in 2008. Keep an eye out for vacation videos next week! I'm excited!
