A Change of Pace

Yes, it is time to change things a little bit. My presence online is starting to change and this blog needs to change with it. Change is often a good thing, and the change to this blog is no exception.

This little place started out as way for me to share exciting tech news with anyone who cared to read it. Over the past several months, I have developed a sprawling fanbase all apparently interested in the news items I post. All was going well for a little while.

Then something changed. I slowly began to realize that I wasn't really providing anything substantial to my readers. Anyone could get the information I posted much easier and in much more detail by visiting sites like Google News for themselves. Why do they need me to point it out to them?

Then something else changed. I discovered Newsvine. My online writing presence quickly shifted to the 'Vine where there are actually people willing to read my writing and comment on my opinion. So now I am an increasingly active member of that community, seeding stories and writing my own articles.

So what of this blog? No, it's not going to just die like my previous blog experiments have done. It's just going to change. I'm going to try to improve my writing by actually posting usual blog material here. So we'll see how that goes.
