Microsoft announced yesterday that the long awaited new version of the hugely popular Windows operating system will be delayed until January 2007. They say the delay is to improve security features.
As the article says, Vista has already been delayed nearly 2 years, so what's another six months? I actually admire Microsoft here...they're holding off on releasing a product with problems, something they've always done before. Windows XP was released before it was ready and look at all the security holes and glitches and service packs and other junk that's come up.
Hopefully this is a good thing...assuming they actually release in January and assuming the product is as good as they promise...
